Judith Adams, Scott Brown and the Water Safety & Education Committee invite you to join us for a morning of canoeing and kayaking followed by a light lunch.
When: Saturday July 27th, 2024
Time: 10am – 1:30pm (light lunch and mingling 12:30-1:30)
Where: AALM dock next to the municipal launch, across from the Ivry town hall at the north end of Baie Lacasse (accessible by road or water)
Who can join?: All experience levels of paddlers including novices. Minors are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
What to bring: Your own kayaks and/or canoes. (Remember, if you are bringing a kayak or canoe that has been off-lake, you will need to arrange to have it washed at the municipal wash station (residents free, non-residents $20). Remember approved life jacket, 15 M buoyant rope, bailer, whistle (from Transport Canada safety boating guide pg 16)
Loaners: If you have extra vessels that you are willing to share, please contact us.
If you need to borrow a kayak/canoe let us know. No guarantees but we will try to connect you with someone and you can get in touch with them to organize the loan.
